Giuseppina Colicci, born and raised in Italy, got her master degree at the University of Roma with Prof. Diego Carpitella, well known scholar of ethnomusicology.

She received her PhD in Ethnomusicology in 1996 from U.C.L.A.

Now she is currently visiting scholar at the Music Department of Stanford University and is working on a Multimedia project.
