UMBC Fieldhouse:

Opened in 1973, the Fieldhouse is home to the volleyball and men's and women's basketball programs. The natatorium houses the swimming teams. The basketball floor is a year old, as 16,000 square feet of Michigan maple wood was installed last spring. The capacity for basketball games is 4,024. Numerous collegiate and high school tournaments and camps are held at the Fieldhouse.

The Fieldhouse also has a 10 lap-to-the-mile indoor running track, the state-of-the-art Retriever Fitness Center, and the Retriever Club Room. The Fitness Center contains a complete line of Nautilus equpment, StairMasters, exercise bicycles, rowing machines, and free weights.

Natatorium:

The natatorium was added to the Fieldhouse in 1977. Regarded as one of the finest facilities in the area, the natatorium has an eight-lane, 25 yard pool and separate diving well. Moreover, the pool utilizes the Tarn-Pure water purification system, almost eliminating the use of harmful chlorine and enhancing the experience for competitive and recreational swimming.

UMBC Stadium Complex:

The 4,500-seat stadium was built in 1976 and houses the sports of men's and women's soccer, men's and women's lacrosse, baseball, and softball. Lights were added in 1992, and the Retrievers tripled their soccer and lacrosse attendance. The stadium features an artifical grass turf and expanded locker room and training room facilties. The refurbished press box overlooks the soccer/lacrosse and baseball fields and has an observation deck for filming, scouting, and television needs. The softball field is also located within the stadium complex.

Other Facilities:

Intercollegiate tennis matches are held on the ten tennis courts located adjacent to the Fieldhouse. Three practice fields for soccer and lacrosse dot the perimeter of the campus. There is a lighted golf driving range behind the stadium and outdoor basketball courts located behind the residence halls.
