New Website Available for the Civil Rights Movement

The National Visionary Leadership Project has launched a new website that features a collection of video history interviews with African American pioneers, a timeline of the Civil Rights Movement, and a whole host of other primary sources, including photographs, speeches and other documents.  The website can be accessed directly at http://www.visionaryproject.org/teacher/.  There are lesson plans available and an entire "Student Site" that allows students to explore primary sources.  This project was created with Kaye Whitehead, a CHE Baltimore City Master Teacher and winner of the 2006 Gilder Lehrman Preserve America Maryland Teacher of the Year.  Another great resource to utilize in the classroom!
