After a tremendous and overwhelming success of Probability & Statistics Day held at UMBC consecutively in 2007 and 2008, we plan to hold the 3rd Annual Prob/Stat Day at UMBC on Saturday, April 25, 2009. The main goal of this special one day conference is to promote scientific awareness in general and discuss contemporary probabilistic and statistical issues in particular. The conference is open to all local university faculty/grad students as well as to statisticians employed in the government agencies and private industries. Women and minority statisticians are especially encouraged to attend. The conference will be held in Lecture Halls 7 & 8 and Rooms 237 & 239 of the ITE building at UMBC.
