It is with great pleasure that we announce organizing the 4th Annual Probability & Statistics Day at UMBC & Silver Jubilee Celebration of the Statistics Graduate Program at UMBC during April 23-24, 2010.

The Statistics Graduate Program at UMBC was established in the fall of 1985 when Professor Bimal Sinha was hired to lead the growth of this exciting discipline within the Department of Mathematics & Statistics. During the last twenty five (25) years the statistics graduate program has witnessed a phenomenal growth with more than fifty (50) students graduating with PhD degrees in statistics out of this program. Most of our alumni are well settled across the country in universities, government agencies, and private sectors.
