Cynthia Barlow
(email) is a Ph.D. Candidate in Music Theory at The University of Arizona. She holds Masters' Degrees in Theory and Percussion Performance, also from The University of Arizona, and a Bachelor's Degree in Theory and Composition from West Texas A&M University (Canyon, TX). Her experience with the music of the Caribbean drew her to the study of ethnomusicology, strengthened by participation in steelbands and other esembles specializing in Caribbean music.
