Assistant Professor of Ethnomusicology in the Department of Music at New York University (New York City, USA), Dujunco has written on Chinese and Vietnamese folk music, film music, and popular music. She is currently working on a book about music, identity, and diasporic networks with reference to performers of Chaozhou xianshi string ensemble music in native-place associations in Hong Kong, mainland China and Thailand.
