Tom Peltier is a Managing Director with Stifel, Nicolaus & Company, Inc. where he leads the Government & IT Services investment banking group. Since the early 1990s, Stifel Nicolaus has been the leading full-service investment bank focused on the federal and commercial IT services market and is the leading underwriter of public offerings in the IT services industry, having raised nearly $7 billion in proceeds for such companies as SAIC, Accenture, SRA, Stanley, ICF International, NCI, SI International, Mantech, MTC, CACI, Anteon, and DigitalNet, among others. Stifel Nicolaus is also a leading advisor in M&A, having recently represented ATS in their $124 million sale to Federal Services Acquisition Corp (pending), Bradson in their $73 million sale to Kforce, Milestone in their $32 million sale to Anteon, Convansys in the divestiture of their state and local IT services practice to Accel-KKR for $35 million, RCI in its $215 million sale to Serco Group, plc, and Touchstone Consulting in its $37 million sale to SRA.
Prior to joining Stifel Nicolaus in 2005, Mr. Peltier co-founded and led Legg Mason's Government & IT Services investment banking group after joining Legg Mason in 1993. Prior to Legg Mason, Mr. Peltier was a Senior Consultant with Price Waterhouse's Office of Government Services in Washington , D.C. , and before that, he served as a Research Economist with Wharton Econometrics in Philadelphia .
Mr. Peltier received a bachelor's degree from Bates College and an MBA from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia .
