Maryland Technology Development Corporation (TEDCO)

Heidi Sheppard is the Program Manager for Maryland TEDCO's Business Incubation Programs. She manages the development of new incubators in the state through the Incubator Development Fund and assists the existing incubators though a variety of best practices grant funds. Heidi also manages the Maryland Technology Transfer Fund which is a $2.7M seed stage fund promoting technology transfer from the Universities and Federal Labs in Maryland . She has been with TEDCO since July 2001.

Prior to TEDCO, Heidi was the Executive Director of the Loudoun County Small Business Development Center in Northern Virginia . She assisted entrepreneurs with the development of their emerging companies through individual counseling and group seminars.

Heidi also has direct entrepreneurial experience as the founder and owner of a small pasta manufacturing company, Endless Pastabilities. She developed this company for four years and sold it to complete her MBA at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
