UMBC Training Centers Relocates to techcenter@UMBC
New location offers easy access to BW corridor
BALTIMORE, MD (July 23, 2004) – UMBC Training Centers , LLC, has relocated its offices and training facility to UMBC's South Campus, adjacent to U.S. I-95 and U.S. I-195. The company is now headquartered at techcenter@UMBC with the training facility in an adjoining building. The new location offers students a first-rate facility in a location convenient to Baltimore , Columbia , Washington , DC, and BWI, as well as UMBC's main campus.
According to company president and CEO, John S. Martello, the move reflects a key step in Training Centers' strategic plan. “We believe that this move will allow us to take full advantage of our strategic alliance with UMBC and to develop stronger connections to the highly respected talents of UMBC faculty and professionals. Our emerging training programs will reflect UMBC's special strengths in areas such as engineering, information technology, and psychology.”
UMBC Training Centers was founded in October 2000 with the mission of offering high quality, industry standard training and certification to individuals and organizations in the Baltimore region. Courses are offered at UMBC, the Universities at Shady Grove, Fort Detrick in Frederick, or online in the areas of information technology, biotechnology, engineering, professional development, business, allied health, and test preparation.
