Donatella Restani received her Ph.D from
the University of Bologna where she is presently Visiting
Professor. She has dealt extensively with the history and
theory of ancient Greek music and its reception in the
Middle Age and Renaissance, topics on which she has
published articles and books (L'itinerario di
Girolamo Mei, 1990; Musica e mito nella Grecia
antica, 1995). She is currently conducting a study on music and culture in the age of Boethius. |
