bwtech@UMBC has extensive relationships with capital providers from the private and public sectors. The center also maintains access to grant programs available at the local, state and federal level. The incubator staff reviews companies' business plans, coaches and critiques presentations and prescreens funding requests in an effort to help entrepreneurs attract capital. Additionally, the staff will make introductions to capital providers, when appropriate. bwtech@UMBC is also a member of the Mid-Atlantic Venture Association and helps nominate companies to participate in the Early Stage Venture Fair and Capital Connection.
